Destination ImagiNation Team Hosts Fundraising Car Wash Saturday
The state champion Hopkins High School team is headed to Knoxville, TN, later this month.
Hopkins’ state champion Destination ImagiNation team needs your help getting to Global Finals in Knoxville, TN.
E.D.U.C.A.T.E.D.—made up of Hopkins High School 11th graders Ian Anderson, Graham Giesting, Rachel Gorlin, Rebecca Gorlin and Natalie Polinsky—will host a fundraising car wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The car wash will take place at the northeast corner of Highway 7 and Hopkins Crossroads—in the parking lot of MGM Liquor, Caribou Coffee and Walgreens.
Destination ImagiNation helps students learn creativity, teamwork and problem solving by coming up with solutions to challenges that they present at tournaments. It involves science, technology, engineering and math skills—as well as theater skills. In addition to winning first in state April 14 at Jackson Middle School in Champlin, MN, E.D.U.C.A.T.E.D. also won a Renaissance Award for demonstrating outstanding skill in the areas of engineering, design or performance.
Global Finals takes place the week of May 22.
