Creating Comic Books Class A Huge Success

The Depot Coffee House has been home to a unique art class every Saturday.

Some famous superheros have a sidekick—such as the Green Hornet and Kato or Batman and Robin. However, both of the instructors for the Creating Comic Books class at the Depot are superheros to a group of budding comic designers.  C.J. Renner specializes in writing scripts and his counterpart, Jim Clark, handles the designing and drawing.

For the past five weeks they've shared their experience with eight young students.  With two weeks of classes left, both of them are excited about the talent level the class participants have displayed.

"You could turn any of them loose on a big piece of Bristol paper and they would come up with great results," said Renner.
