Couple Found With 317 Grams of Pot in Minnetonka Apartment
Kristina Lynn Garvey, of Minnetonka, and Jorge Alberto Perez-Amparo, of St. Louis Park, are both charged with felony fifth-degree possession of drugs.
Police say they found two people in a Minnetonka apartment with 317 grams of marijuana.
Kristina Lynn Garvey, 26 of Minnetonka, and Jorge Alberto Perez-Amparo, 20 of St. Louis Park, are both charged with felony fifth-degree possession of drugs.
On Feb. 10, Minnetonka Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in an apartment at 10301 Cedar Lake Road. Police say they heard a loud thump and shouting before entering the apartment. According to officers, two plastic baggies full of pot were found in plain view on the living room table.
Police say they also saw in plain view additional bags of marijuana and a bundle of cash in the amount of $6,626 in an open closet.
Perez-Amparo allegedly told police that he was in his girlfriend's apartment and all of the pot belonged to him. Garvey allegedly told police that some of the money in the closet was hers that she had given Perez-Amparo to buy a pound of pot. She told officers she bought the marijuana in order to make easy money, according to the complaint.

Why does this report make 317 grams seem like its a lot of pot. Sorry it's not even a pound. So lets stop over dramatizing our reporting. Leave that to the real reporters out there who know what is news.

One more reason to end cannabis prohibition, tax & regulate. Safer than alcohol. No one EVER has died from anysize cannabis overdose.

I wouldn't want to be on the road with or near someone who was high on pot. A high driver is not a safe driver, same with a drunk. So now we get to add even more impaired drivers to the road.

Cooper, ending cannabis prohibition would not add more impaired drivers to the road because people who smoke pot while driving do it without legalization anyways. Also, high drivers aren't that bad...
