The homeless man who robbed the Blake Road Walgreens received a 67-month prison sentence Wednesday for a spree in which he hit three Walgreens between Nov. 18 and Nov. 23, according to Minnesota court records.

Vincent Mark Smith, 26, received the following sentences:

  • 67 months in prison and a $50 fine for one count of first-degree aggravated robbery,
  • 58 months in prison and a $50 fine for one count of first-degree aggravated robbery and
  • 18 months in prison and a $50 fine for two counts of simple robbery.

All the sentences are to be served concurrently. Smith will receive credit for 173 days served.

Smith robbed the Hopkins Walgreens by walking into the store with a BB gun and demanding Percocet and Xanax. He later told police he robbed the first Walgreens “because he was desperate to sell the drugs for money.”
